Counseling Specialties: I use a holistic approach to career counseling using cognitive behavioral counseling strategies, standardized assessments such as the MBTI and the Strong Interest Inventory, and original individualized self- assessment tools as needed. My eclectic approach is client centered and dynamic, helping move the client through the ups and downs of a career search, job transition, and/or retirement and life change. Counselor Profile: Renée Lee Rosenberg, MA, LMHC, (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) has over 20 years’ experience in career transition and career management counseling. She coaches a distance career group and maintains a private practice in NYC. Skilled in multicultural employment issues, she has also coached Japanese executives in New York and Tokyo Helping them acclimate to the American business culture.
A former Vice President and program chair of the New York Chapter of the Association of Career Professionals (ACP) International, she serves on the Executive Board of The Career Development Specialists Network, is a member of the National Career Development Association, The Association of Psychological Type – NY Chapter, The National Speakers Association and is a Certified Five O'Clock Club Coach since 1996.
An accomplished and entertaining speaker, Renee presents on a variety of career and job related topics including: retirement and mid-life career transition issues, keeping positive and productive during a difficult job search, assessing the hidden job market, intergenerational communication, and using positive thinking and laughter as career and life management tools. She has presented keynote speeches at various venues throughout the US and has spoken to the German Speakers Association in Munich, Germany. Renee loves to speak about the power of positive thinking and humor in work and is available to speak to your organization.
Renée holds an MA in Vocational Counseling and a New York State Mental Health license. She is on the faculty of New York University’s Center for Career, Education and Life Planning and has presented career related workshops at Baruch College. She is qualified to administer and interpret various skills and interests inventories, including the MBTI Personality Assessment.
