Her experience with JPMorgan Chase Bank and with American Express in Human Resources, Mt Sinai Hospital and a NYC public relations firm developed her keen understanding of how individuals can advance themselves in their careers. She has also been Managing Director of Client Services, leading Executive Coaching and Career Management services for two leading firms.
Barbara trained more than 200 career strategist colleagues in comprehensive assessment, creating a resume that utilizes the latest in marketing techniques; customized job search campaigns; state of the art job search strategies; and compensation package negotiation techniques. She is recognized as an expert in assessment with certifications in numerous instruments including the MBTI (Myer Briggs Type Indicator), Strong Interest Inventory, Campbell Interest and Skills Survey, PRF, 16PF, Hogan Development Surveys, FIRO-B profile, Benchmarks 360s, Voices 360 and more.
As an Executive Coach, Barbara works with senior business executives and “high potential” individuals to achieve greater levels of performance, success and personal satisfaction. Her keen ability to assess leaders and their teams’ motivations and work situations has enabled individuals to reach higher levels of achievement to meet business and personal goals.
Barbara has been an Adjunct Instructor with the Cornell University School of Industrial Relations, teaching “Dynamics of Interpersonal Behavior and Communications.” She has been a co-founder of three professional organizations in the NYC Career Management field including the NY Chapter of the Association of Career Professionals International.
Barbara Frankel holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work and is licensed in NYS as a Certified Social Worker. She was awarded the “Fellow Practitioner” title, the highest level of competency by the International Board for Career Management.
